The CAKE centre (Creative, Artistic Knowledge for Everybody)
The CAKE Centre is a small team of talented and experienced people who understand what its like to be in need of something new & interesting.  They aim to bring the social, and employment opportunities easily available to able-bodied people, into the lives of people with additional needs.  The CAKE centre believes that everybody has a role to play in their local community. We bring people with different experiences and skills together to create stimulating learning environments for all.

The CAKE Centre is new for 2009; They support people with a learning disability, and/or mental health issues to gain fulfilling work experience. They provide advice on how to look for work, how to create an interesting CV, and support you in interviews, and when you first start your job.

They design activity sessions for groups aiming to create stimulating social environments for people with learning and physical disabilities, and those with mental health issues. The session framework is based on the 'Valuing People Now' outcomes, and they tailor each session to your specific requirements.

If you would like to find out more about the services and support offered by the CAKE Centre, contact them via their website www.thecakecentre.co.uk, email them at  This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or phone/text to  07754 828737.
