| The Primary Club was originally started as a way to extend the friendship and support that we as parents had found through the early development groups and toddler mornings. It seems that as soon as our little ones are in school there is little time to get together and share our knowledge and experiences. We aim to meet at least every two months on a Saturday or Sunday allowing enough time for our children to enjoy a fun activity and then usually followed by a shared meal so that the group can sit, chat and catch up. We encourage dads and siblings to come along too. |
We hope to have a few learning centred workshops with our children to include reading skills and an IT workshop. Some of our recent activities have included a swimming party, a music session and tobogganing at SNO!zone. All Primary Club sessions are advertised in advance on the DSO website so please check regularly for updates. Please get in touch with Elsa Gill if you would like more information about the club or if you have any suggestions for future activities.

The summer Primary Club visit to Thomley Activity Centre was a slightly more low key and relaxed session than other get-togethers. This was mainly due to Thomley's secure, child friendly site so the children were able to explore the numerous rooms and grounds with a level of freedom often not given to them in other venues. |
